Fairytale Wedding

You know, we thought that this would have been a bigger gathering of coursemates, seeing how the bride and groom are both from our batch. Yet oddly enough, while talking to some friends the question, "Are you going for Lee&Lee's wedding?" tend to be followed by the question, "How come you're not invited?" Well, those we expect to be going did go, after all they were most likely to be his heng dais or her zhi muis too. Just that we thought that there would have been more of our batch going, that's all.

It's nice to get to see everyone although we must say that it's not really conducive to really 'keeping in touch' when it's just a 3-4 hour wedding dinner. And gotta say that a fair number of them faces we have not seen save for weddings. Still. We must say that the attendance is more than compared to say going for an alumni meet.

Now Lee&Lee's wedding here had a twist we'd not seen - a Disney theme to things.

Makes better sense now why he asked us if we had Elton John's 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight'. It was their theme song. If they had more time and practise or lessons, who knows, they might have just waltzed into the hall all the way to their table instead of just a little dance.

For a while we felt just a pang of sadness. Comic scenes of people crying in church pews during weddings flashing behind our eyes. It was, of course, rather beautiful.

Oh well. We had our bit of fairytale story too after all in this wedding. As we walked into the hotel lobby (via the side entrance from the carpark) we were greeted by a very welcoming sight. Our hand reached out...

Only to find out much later that the drinks counter was for another wedding. Oh well. To the Lee&Lees!

Disney theme is cool idea, but can't see Disney decorations or costumes, only table name. :\ And I know it sounds gay to say so, but Lee's dress (bride Lee, not groom one) does look very pretty on her.

I suppose who gets invited as wedding guests is usually decided more by the couple's parents (and their budget) than the couple themselves. Well, in our (weird) Western culture, anyway. Parents like to make sure all the family friends from over the years are there, not just more recent alumni friends.

In that image, were you taking a photo of the wine glasses or of the cute guy in black carrying a tray with an orange drink on it who just happened to be walking by? ;P

Pfffttt... Ru the first commenter again!!! Why do you have to be the first all the time huh? Well, I can't compete with him, since I can only wildly guess that Monsieur Soldat must have inform him first through e-mail or whatever (SMS, expensive phone calls etc.) before Les Monsieur de Soldat publishes his blog online. Heh! Must be one!!!

"For a while we felt just a pang of sadness" Errr... you feel sad someone gets married? The so weird feeling indeed! Should be happy mar, right, Les Monsieur de Soldat? Sommes-nous corrects?

Hrugaar: We cannot imagine a wedding where everyone is in Disney costumes. Wouldn't want a wedding to be remembered such. :S

Only noticed the wine, first thing to catch our eye.

Savante & Sam: Malaysia Boleh? Not too sure about the customs.

3-Seconder & NJAPF: Hello, you two know another more loud and powderful CNN yes? And the night was cheesy with 'berlian' and 'billion' jokes. :S

Jason: Disney! But only a bit lah.

David The Man: Honestly, we haven't seen such behaviour out of primary school. And such erroneous accusations only serve to put you in a bad light.

QR: Standard mah, take wedding photos. Wah that reminded us of some of Lee&Lee's wedding photos they put up during the wedding! :S

Thompsonboy: There were drinks! Heh heh. Just that we swiped drinks from the wrong counter (oh we didn't bother returning it).

Adrien: Don't think those glasses would have sung well. But we didn't bother trying as we were busy getting refills.
